Job summary

Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a DI Technical Assistant for Diagnostic Imaging at the Cobequid Community Health Centre. The role supports departmental operations, assists patients, handles transfers, and manages data entry within the radiology information system in a cost-effective manner.

Qualifications

Grade 12 or equivalent.
One year knowledge of computer systems regarding entering, updating, and retrieving patient information.
Able to set priorities.
Medical Terminology course is an asset.
Experience in Diagnostic Imaging is an asset.
Effective organization and communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist patients and patient transfers.
Enter and manage patient information in the computer radiographic information data entry system.
Support the Diagnostic Imaging Department by performing non-patient care functions.
