Job summary

Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a DI Technical Assistant for Diagnostic Imaging at the Cobequid Community Health Centre. The role supports departmental operations, assists patients, handles transfers, and manages data entry within the radiology information system in a cost-effective manner.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• One year knowledge of computer systems regarding entering, updating, and retrieving patient information.
• Able to set priorities.
• Medical Terminology course is an asset.
• Experience in Diagnostic Imaging is an asset.
• Effective organization and communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred.

About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Manager, the DI Technical Assistant works under the direction of the Team Lead performing tasks related to the departmental operation in an organized and cost-effective manner. This position supports the activities of the Diagnostic Imaging Department by performing peripheral tasks including but not limited to assisting patients, patient transfers, and computer radiographic information data entry. This position also supports the activities of the Diagnostic Imaging Department by performing non-patient care functions.

About You

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• One year knowledge of computer systems regarding entering, updating, and retrieving patient information

• Medical Terminology Course an asset (former GASHA
• Experience in Diagnostic Imaging an asset

Compensation and Benefits
