The Atlantic Provinces Special Education Authority (APSEA) is seeking a Full Time Education Support Teacher (EST) - DHH in Fredericton, New Brunswick. This permanent role involves providing vital educational support to children and youth who are Deaf or hard of hearing. Candidates should have a Master's degree in education for learners who are Deaf or hard of hearing and a valid Nova Scotia Teacher Certificate. Competenze

• Master’s degree in the education of learners who are Deaf or hard of hearing.
• Valid Nova Scotia Teacher Certificate.
• Competency to support Developmental Skills Inventory (DSI) – DHH.
• Experience working with children and youth who are DHH.
• Knowledge of issues relevant to deaf education.

Mansioni

• Provide Tier 1, 2, and 3 support to educational teams and families.
• Collaborate with educational team members regarding instructional practices.
• Support families in enhancing child development and independence.
• Maintain knowledge of assessment tools for learners who are DHH.
• Create a safe, supportive learning environment.

Conoscenze

Master’s degree in education for learners who are Deaf or hard of hearing

Competency in Developmental Skills Inventory (DSI) – DHH

Experience working with children and youth who are DHH

Excellent English communication skills

Ability to communicate in American Sign Language (ASL)

Organizational and time management skills
