Toronto Film School is seeking an Education Support Teacher (EST) - DHH to provide support to children and youth who are Deaf or hard of hearing. This position involves collaborating with educational teams and families to develop responsive educational programs. Ideal candidates will have a Master’s degree in relevant education, a valid Nova Scotia Teacher Certificate, and experience working with DHH learners. Formación

• Experience working with children and youth who are DHH, including those with multiple exceptionalities.
• Knowledge of issues relevant to deaf education.
• Strong experience in assessment, program planning, and delivery of individualized instruction.

Responsabilidades

• Provide Tier 1, 2, and 3 support to educational teams, families, and community partners.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and educational team members on inclusive practices.
• Support families to enhance their child's development and independence.

Conocimientos

American Sign Language (ASL)

Excellent English communication skills

Organizational and time management skills

Competency in Developmental Skills Inventory (DSI) – DHH

Educación

Master’s degree in education for Deaf or hard of hearing

Valid Nova Scotia Teacher Certificate
