What is the opportunity?

The RBC CMTC DevOps team is seeking a skilled developer to create CI/CD patterns, focusing on high-quality, secure, and reusable products. The role involves automation using cloud-native patterns, working within a cross-functional team that values flexibility, collaboration, and growth. You will contribute to high-quality code and impactful products, with opportunities for skill development in a supportive environment.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

1. Collaborate with team members to model and design new API interfaces.
2. Develop and support scalable, high-performance APIs within an Agile team.
3. Ensure code quality through automated testing.
4. Automate development processes to improve efficiency and enable continuous delivery.
5. Design code structures for reusability across applications.
6. Work with technical, product, and business teams to deliver excellent products.
7. Learn and apply new technologies to solve challenges.
8. Communicate technical details effectively to non-technical stakeholders.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

Must have:

• +2 years’ experience in programming (Java, TypeScript, Python, Shell, Batch) and cloud applications (OpenShift, Azure, Docker).
• Strong Kubernetes knowledge and understanding of its components.
• Experience with DevOps pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Maven, Angular) and automated testing.
• Experience with full software development lifecycle practices.
• Knowledge of web application architectures and frameworks (including Angular).

Nice-to-have:

• Object-oriented coding, design patterns, and clean code practices.
• Experience with Kafka, MySQL, NoSQL databases, caching, and methodologies like BDD/TDD.
• Experience with algorithms, AI tools, RDBMS, and modern repositories.
