Join to apply for the Intermediate Software Developer, DevOps role at Hootsuite.

We’re looking for a DevOps specialist who can help support the development organization in delivering value to customers reliably, efficiently, and safely. You’ll work in a focused team responsible for a portion of the production environment and developer experience, executing defined projects to meet team goals. This is a remote-first role open to applicants within Canadian provinces where we comply with our legal hiring entities. You will report to the Manager, DevOps.

What You’ll Do

• Develop software tools, libraries, automation, and services.
• Design and build infrastructure platforms, including identifying new features, researching technologies, and maintaining existing features.
• Manage developer environments and production applications, diagnosing issues, performing maintenance, and optimizing processes.
• Enable development teams by providing interfaces, tools, and best practices for the software lifecycle.
• Participate in a flexible on-call rotation.

What You’ll Need

• A degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience, with at least 3 years in SRE, DevOps, or software engineering.
• Proficiency in software development and engineering practices.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools for cloud infrastructure.
• Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, resilience, and adaptability skills.
• Preferred: Linux system administration, cloud infrastructure experience, and SaaS development knowledge.
