Job summary

City of Toronto's Development Review, Engineering Review division seeks a Manager of Development Engineering to lead a team of engineers and project managers responsible for the municipal review and approval of development applications.

You will oversee budget, ensure compliance with health and safety standards, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver engineering solutions aligned with city standards.

Qualifications

• Licensed Ontario P.Eng. with active status.
• Extensive civil engineering experience in municipal infrastructure.
• Experience reviewing development applications (OPAs, Zoning, Site Plans, Plans of Subdivisions, Consents).

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers and project managers to deliver engineering review and approvals.
• Oversee unit operations, scheduling, performance and resource planning.
• Ensure compliance with applicable acts and municipal standards.
• Direct financial oversight, budgeting and expenditure control.
• Negotiate and manage contracts and agreements related to development projects.
• Represent the Division in meetings, public consultations and Council discussions.
