The City of Nanaimo is seeking a permanent full-time Manager, Development Engineering. Reporting to the Director of Planning & Development, the incumbent will plan, organize, direct, and control the Development Engineering Section, ensuring timely review of development proposals and adherence to municipal standards.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related discipline with at least five years of related experience, eligibility for APEGBC, and a valid Class 5 BC

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related discipline and at least 5 years of related experience.
• Eligibility for Membership of APEGBC (Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of BC).
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, organize, direct, and control the Development Engineering Section.
• Oversee the review of development proposals.
• Refer only complex issues to the Director.
