Job summary

MTE Consultants is seeking a Designer to join the Civil Division in Barrie to work out of our Barrie office. You will contribute to design and analysis for ICI and residential developments, including storm and sanitary sewer, grading, and water distribution design.

You will perform traffic engineering studies using Synchro/Sim and coordinate with project managers, clients, and consultants to ensure designs fit the overall project scope.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong problem solving skills.
• Experience with technical report writing.
• Working knowledge of MSOffice.

Responsibilities

• Design and analysis for ICI and residential developments, including storm and sanitary sewer design, site grading design, water distribution, and stormwater modelling.
• Perform traffic engineering studies using Synchro/Sim.
• Coordinate with project managers, clients and consultants to ensure design fits project scope.
• Attend and participate in project team meetings and coordinate with team members for timely delivery of project deliverables.
• Field review of construction projects as needed.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Perform design and analysis for a range of ICI and residential developments to meet client and review agency requirements, including storm and sanitary sewer design, site grading design, water distribution system design, and storm water management design and modelling
• Perform traffic engineering studies, using Synchro/Sim
• Communicate with project managers,clientsand consultants to ensure design will work within the overall scope of the project
• Attend andparticipatein project team meetings and coordinate with team members to ensure efficient andtimelydelivery of project deliverables
• Field review of construction projects, as needed
• Other related duties, as assigned

Requirements

• Diploma in Civil Engineering Technologyor Technician, orDegree inCivilEngineering
• 0-3years of related work experience
• Traffic engineering experience, or education, is preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strongproblem solvingskills
• Experience with technical report writing
• Working knowledge ofMSOffice

Salary Range

$57,600 - $72,000 per year base salary, plus benefits

Annual Salary will be based on individual education, qualifications, and relevant work experience.
