Job summary

MTE Consultants in Toronto is seeking a CAD Technologist to join Building Structures Division and contribute to design development and construction drawings on various projects. You will coordinate with architectural and structural team members, attend project meetings, perform site inspections as needed, and leverage AutoCAD; Revit is an asset.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering Technology or Architectural Technology is required.
• C.E.T. or C.Tech. designation is considered an asset.
• 0–3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Excellent proficiency with drafting using AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of Revit is an asset.
• Knowledge of the Ontario Building Code is an asset.
• Experience reading architectural and structural drawings.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to work in a team and independently with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Produce design development and construction working drawings, including cold-formed steel stud drafting.
• Assist with developing and researching appropriate details for various project types.
• Coordinate and review architectural and structural drawings.
• Attend and participate in project team meetings and coordinate with team members to ensure efficient and timely delivery of project deliverables.
• Perform site inspections, as needed.
• Other related duties, as assigned

Responsibilities

• Produce design development and construction working drawings, including cold-formed steel stud drafting

Requirements

• Diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering Technology or Architectural Technology
• Working towards a C.E.T. or C.Tech. designation considered an asset
• 0-3 years experience in similar role
• Excellent proficiency and experience in drafting with AutoCAD
• Knowledge and proficiency in Revit considered an asset
• Knowledge of the structures and cold-formed steel considered an asset
• Knowledge of the Ontario Building Code considered an asset
• Experience reading architectural and structural drawings
• Excellent written and communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong time management skills and ability to multitask in a fast paced environment to meet project deadlines
• Able to work within a team and independently
• Solid analytical skills and high degree of attention to detail

Salary Range

$23.79-$29.74 per hour, plus benefits

Hourly Wage will be based on individual education, qualifications, and relevant work experience.
