Job description

We are seeking a Structural Designer on behalf of a leading engineering consulting firm specializing in transportation and municipal infrastructure projects. This individual will join a growing Bridges & Structures team and play a key role in the technical design and delivery of bridge, culvert, and retaining wall projects across Ontario. We are looking for a design-focused professional who is passionate about structural infrastructure and wants to continue growing within a drafting and design career path. This is not an EIT or engineering track role. Instead, the ideal candidate will come from a Civil Engineering Technology background and possess strong technical design skills, particularly in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, Structural Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.
• 2-5+ years of structural design experience within an engineering consulting environment.
• Strong proficiency with: AutoCAD, Civil 3D
• Working toward, or currently holding, a C.Tech or C.E.T designation.
• Experience supporting transportation, bridge, culvert, retaining wall, or municipal infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with Ontario design standards, including: OPSS (Ontario Provincial Standard Specifications)
• Ability to contribute with minimal training in a fast-paced project environment.
• MTO experience

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience collaborating directly with municipalities.
• Previous experience with consulting firms such as GHD, WSP, CIMA+, Tatham Engineering, or similar organizations.
• 3+ years of structural design experience. Experience working on MTO-related projects.

Pay Rate: $70,000/yr
