The Opportunity:
Postmedia seeks an experienced print production editor to join the management team of Postmedia Editorial Services. Our Deputy Managing Editor will help oversee the team producing the chain's largest publications and will have a role both in monitoring daily production and planning for future editions. A key duty in this role will be working with staff from the Central Operations Centre to advise on changes to the preliminary setup of publications, ensuring papers are set up with the proper mix of content space for various sections and fit within standards for shared content. We seek a natural leader and outside-the-box thinker who can recognize roadblocks in production and pitch adjustments to workflow to maximize efficiency and productivity. The successful candidate must work collaboratively with colleagues from within PES and other newsrooms to co-ordinate plans for special projects and long-term adjustments to workflow due to new deadlines or other company requirements.
