Qualifications

Senior Technical Writer – Long term Contract (100% Remote; Canada)

We're seeking a Senior Technical Writer with strong hands-on technical skills to lead the audit, cleanup, and ongoing evolution of product documentation for a complex enterprise software platform.

About the Company:

Our client is a small, stable, and growing software company delivering both SaaS and on-prem solutions to large enterprise environments around the globe. Their collaborative, people-first culture values quality, innovation, and long-term relationships—with customers and teammates alike.

Key Qualifications:

• 5+ years in technical writing (software industry)

• Comfortable working with on-prem software, as well as APIs, Windows services, authentication protocols (e.g., OAuth, AD, SAML), and RESTful web services

• Experience writing and testing install guides, technical walkthroughs, and system-level documentation

• Familiar with Markdown, Google Workspace, and file-based doc management (e.g., SharePoint or others)

• Strong organizational, editorial, and strategic thinking skills

• Contract (initial full-time ramp-up, with potential to evolve)

• Fully remote (Pacific or Mountain Time preferred)

• Work closely with engineering, product, and support teams

• Requires ability to run and validate software builds and improve documentation structure/process

Contract rate will depend on seniority of final candidate.
