Goodwork is recruiting for a Canadian-based B2B SaaS company.
What makes this opportunity interesting?
We're a productivity-first software company built specifically to help small businesses grow. Our mission: help small businesses be more organized, close more sales, and operate more efficiently by eliminating information silos.
We've built a comprehensive platform exclusively for the Apple ecosystem (Mac, iPhone, iPad). Our approach puts daily productivity first (calendar, mail, tasks, contacts), then layers CRM and project management on top. Unlike tools like HubSpot, Zoho, or Salesforce, who focus on complex sales funnels, we help business owners manage their daily workflows and build customer relationships organically.
Our customers are service-based businesses (typically 1-10 employees) across consulting, legal, real estate, and others. We support customers in 80+ countries, localized in five languages – primarily in the U.S., followed by Germany, the UK, Canada, Australia, France, and Spain.
We’re proud to have won an Apple Design Award, and even prouder that many of our customers have grown from solo founders into thriving global companies – with our platform quietly powering their journey. One customer went from 1 to 152 employees while remaining fully supportedby our software.
OUR COMPANY VALUES guide our team and shape our culture:
We're a fully remote organization with 40+ teammates across Canada (our headquarters), the US, India, and specialist contractors worldwide. Our teams are organized by Product & Engineering ( Product Lead , Project Managers , Design , Backend Engineers , native Apple Developers , QA , Infrastructure ) plus client-facing functions ( Marketing , Sales , Customer Success and Support ).
We’re a Mac shop through and through – because that’s what our customers use. Our culture is chill but focused. We stay connected on Slack, align through weekly huddles, and run on OKRs. We avoid “crunch time” through thoughtful planning and scoped execution. Most of our team is in their 30s and 40s, many with young families, so we offer real flexibility around schedules and work-life balance. In return, we expect teammates to self-manage with maturity and ownership. We don’t pigeonhole people. Our belief: if you want to grow and take on more responsibility, we’ll give you more. There’s always room to stretch, lead, and expand.
About the RoleWe're looking for a remote UX & Technical Writer to help small business owners understand not just what our features do and how to use them, but why they should use them to grow their business.
In this role, you'll own our entire documentation ecosystem while transforming complex product features into clear, actionable content that helps overwhelmed business owners become power users, directly impacting onboarding success, feature adoption, and retention.
This is a unique opportunity because our customers are often frustrated solo entrepreneurs who "don't know what they don't know" about business systems. Your content becomes their guide to both using our product and understanding better business practices. We retain customers well once they integrate our workflows, but struggle with initial onboarding and setup – where your educational content is critical. You'll experiment with different formats (text, silent videos, interactive guides) to help customers scale from 1-2 users to hundreds of employees.
Our IDEAL CANDIDATE brings 3-6+ years of experience in technical writing, UX writing, or B2B content creation. You're Mac-native (essential), understand business principles, structure information architecture effectively, and write clearly for technical and business audiences. You're a quick learner who executes competently, grasps concepts without re-explanation, asks questions when needed, and takes ownership. You care about helping small business owners succeed and understand your work relieves Product/Engineering teams (who hate documentation), empowers Customer Success with better materials, and serves customers who prefer self-service over onboarding calls.
Your performance will be measured by your learning speed, feedback from customers and the Custom Success team on your guides, and the speed, accuracy, and tone of your written work.
You'll be part of our Product team, and collaborate with our Product Lead , Project Managers , Design, QA, Customer Success team, CEO, and occasionally our Marketing team. Customer Success acts as your internal customer - they deal with customers 1:1 and will tell you when content isn't hitting or is missing, making your role core to their success and essential for training new team members. This position will report directly to either the Product Lead or Head of Customer Success.
You’ll be doing things like:
Bonus if you also have:
Not sure you meet all the requirements? Apply anyway! We value diverse experiences and hire for potential. If you don't hear back within 4 weeks, assume you weren't selected, but Goodwork may still reach out about other remote roles.
