Job summary

Hydro One is seeking a highly skilled professional to lead complex studies and deliver strategic insights for Ontario’s transmission/distribution network. You will coordinate with service providers, manage major programs and prepare detailed business cases and regulatory submissions.

The role requires a P.Eng license, a bachelor’s level engineering education, and strong project-management capabilities to optimize asset performance and regulatory outcomes.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of engineering science and business administration, project management, electrical power systems and equipment relating to transmission/distribution assets.
• Requires economics for evaluations and comparing alternatives.
• Requires knowledge of technical writing for contract documents and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead studies and develop strategies for transmission/distribution needs across a broad geographic area.
• Monitor and redirect major programs and coordinate with service providers and stakeholders.
• Prepare business cases, contract specifications and manage regulatory submissions.
