Save-On-Foods in Surrey, BC is hiring a Department Manager, Wine for the Fleetwood location. This full-time role (40 hours/week) focuses on leading the department, coaching the team, and delivering Always Customer First service while maintaining health, safety, and merchandising standards.

You bring 1–3 years of retail experience, a Food Safe Certification, and a post-secondary business-related education is an asset.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the department, coach and mentor the team to deliver Always Customer First service.
• Ensure operational excellence: customer experience, health and safety, food safety, merchandising.
• Train and retain team members through performance management, rewards, and succession planning.
• Communicate messages and objectives to department team aligned with goals.
• Review financial reports, identify opportunities to improve performance, present KPIs.
• Analyze department HR metrics and dashboards.
• Grow sales and customer loyalty through strategic initiatives.
• Lead inventory counts and period-end processes; resolve issues.

We are hiring a Department Manager, Wine at our Fleetwood Save-On-Foods location in Surrey, BC. This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, and the successful applicant must have open availability.

Responsibilities

• Leading the department, acting as a coach, mentor, and resource while fostering a positive team environment focused on Always Customer First service.
• Delivering operational excellence through customer experience, health and safety, food safety, and merchandising.
• Engaging and retaining team members through training, performance management, rewards/recognition, and succession planning.
• Communicating key messages and business objectives to team members in the department, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Reviewing and analyzing financial reports, identifying opportunities to improve performance, and presenting KPIs to the management team.
• Analyzing business/HR metrics and dashboards of the department.
• Supporting with implementing strategies to grow sales and customer loyalty.
• Leading inventory counts/period end of the department and resolving issues as required.
• Performing all job duties throughout the department as needed, including lifting weight (up to 50 lbs), standing for long periods of time, and working in hot/cold environments.

You have:

• 1-3 years of retail experience.
• Food Safe Certification.
• A post-secondary education in a business related field is an asset.
• Experience and/or knowledge with:
• Achieving sales targets and profitability.
• Executing merchandising plans and creating in-store displays to drive sales.
• Human Resources (e.g. training, development, coaching and mentoring).
• Workforce planning and scheduling considerations.
• Health and safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices.
• Proficiency with computer applications.

Compensation Details: $54,080.00
