Job summary

Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS) is seeking a Sales Associate to deliver retail services to CAF members and their families. You will operate Point of Sale systems, manage a cash float and assist customers with merchandising and services across the store.

You will respond to inquiries, keep shelves stocked and signed, and may prepare food and takeout orders while maintaining a clean environment. This on-site role in New Brunswick offers teamwork and a mission-driven culture.

Qualifications

• An acceptable combination of education, training, and experience.
• Food Handling Certification, as required.
• Must possess a Responsible Service of Alcohol certification (NB), as required.
• In cash handling
• In food and beverage preparation, as required.
• In food and beverage service, as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide retail services to CAF members and the public, operating POS systems and managing a cash float.
• Respond to customer enquiries, ensure shelves are stocked, faced and clearly signed.
• Prepare food/beverage orders and assist in takeout food while maintaining cleanliness.

THE ROLE

As a Sales Associate, you provide retail services to a unique client base - members of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF), and in assisting them, you are helping your community. You may provide a variety of services, including regular retail services, dry cleaning, lottery services, self-serve gas services, postal services, and assisting CAF members with credit plan applications. You will operate Point of Sales systems, the debit/credit machine and maintain a float.

The Sales Associate responds to enquiries from customers providing them with information on merchandising and ensuring the store shelves are stocked, faced, and properly signed. You may take and prepare food and beverage orders and prepare takeout food, while ensuring cleanliness of food service and eating areas.

Qualifications Needed

Education, Certifications and Licenses
