Job summary

Limoges Dental Centre in Canada is seeking a qualified Dental Assistant for a maternity leave contract. The role supports dentists and hygienists, prepares treatment rooms and instruments, and ensures a clean, safe environment while maintaining patient comfort and workflow.

You will also assist with X-rays, chart updates, inventory, and privacy/regulatory guidelines. Bilingual English/French is preferred and NDAEB certification is required.

Qualifications

• Registered and/or Certified as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association is required.
• NDAEB certification is required.
• Experience with Abeldent is preferred.
• Bilingual English and French is preferred.
• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow.
• Support the orthodontic program (training provided).
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required.
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards.
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care.
• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour.
• Assist with ordering and inventory control as needed.

Schedule:

Maternity Leave Contract

Monday: 8:00am - 5:00pm

Tuesday: 8:00am - 5:00pm

Wednesday:11:00am - 7:00pm

Thursday: 8:00am - 5:00pm

Friday: 8:00am - 2:00pm

The wage for this Dental Assistant position is $31-$36/hour depending on skills, experience, and location.
