Job summary

DDS Collingwood, a patient-focused dental practice, is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to support dentists and hygienists, prepare treatment rooms, take X-rays, and ensure IPAC-compliant infection control.

Qualifications

• Registered and/or Certified as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association is required.
• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow.
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required.
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards.
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care.
• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour.

Schedule: Full-Time

• Monday 9am-5pm.
• Tuesday 9am-5pm.
• Wednesday 8am-4pm.
• Thursday 9am-5pm.
• Friday 9am-3pm.

The wage for this Dental Assistant position is $27-$29/hour depending on skills, experience, and location.
