Job summary

Callander Bay Dental, a Callander, ON area practice, is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant for a full-time position (32–40 hours/week). The role focuses on preventive care, patient education, and supporting dentists and hygienists to deliver high-quality care in a welcoming environment.

Qualifications

  • Registered and/or Certified as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association.
  • Previous dental assisting experience is preferred.
  • English language skills are required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
  • Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow.
  • Take dental X-rays and digital images as required.
  • Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards.
  • Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
  • Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks.
  • Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care.
  • Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour.

Practice Location: Callander Bay Dental 299 Main St N, Callander, ON P0H 1H0 Schedule: Full-Time, 32 to 40 hours per week

The wage for this Dental Assistant position is $36.92/hour or higher, depending on skills, experience, and location.
