Job summary

Callander Bay Dental is hiring a Dental Assistant to join a friendly, patient-centered practice in Callander, ON. The role involves preparing treatment rooms, assisting dentists and hygienists, taking X-rays, sterilization, chart updates, and patient education, with a focus on preventive care and strong patient relationships.

The wage is $36.62/hour or higher, with full-time hours (32–40 per week) and a comprehensive rewards package including RRSP matching and other benefits.

Qualifications

• Registered and/or certified as a Dental Assistant with the provincial regulatory body.
• English language skills required.
• Previous dental assisting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures.
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments to maintain patient comfort and workflow.
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required.
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control per IPAC standards.
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver high-quality care.
• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines.

The wage

The wage for this Dental Assistant position is $36.62/hour or higher, depending on skills, experience, and location.

Your Role

• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow

• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care

• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour

About You

• Registered and/or Certified as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association is required
• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred
• English language skills are required
