Highland Dental Centre in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, is seeking a registered or certified Dental Assistant to join their team. The successful candidate will prepare treatment rooms, assist dentists and hygienists, take X-rays, and ensure infection control.

Experience is preferred, and applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The clinic offers a four-day workweek (8:30 AM - 4:30 PM) and a supportive environment focused on patient care and professional development.

Qualificações

• Registered and/or Certified as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association is required.
• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures; maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments; support patient comfort and workflow.
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required.
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards.
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care.
• Follow privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines.

Your Role

About You

• Registered and/or Certified as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association is required
• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred
