Job Description

The Demand Planner develops short and long-term demand forecasts for assigned categories, utilizing business intelligence, statistical modeling, historical sales data, and collaboration with Sales and Supply Chain teams to achieve accuracy metrics that support financial and service objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain SKU-level monthly operational forecasts across multiple locations
  • Integrate business intelligence into forecasts, considering promotional activities, price changes, sales events, and new product launches
  • Conduct monthly consensus meetings with Sales and Planning teams to improve forecast accuracy
  • Analyze KPI metrics and implement improvements
  • Collaborate with Product Development and Sales on new product forecasts
  • Coordinate with Supply Planning to align demand and supply plans
  • Monitor forecast performance and provide insights for the Sales & Operations Planning process
  • Ensure system parameters are accurately maintained
  • Proactively analyze forecast errors and root causes for continuous improvement
  • Provide weekly sales updates and monthly forecasts
  • Prepare data for S&OP meetings with strategic recommendations
  • Refine demand planning systems and methods for ongoing enhancement
  • Execute supply planning with excellence, highlighting opportunities and risks
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • 3-5 years of industry experience
  • Understanding of supply chain processes
  • Supply chain certifications (e.g., APICS) preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus
  • Strong forecasting knowledge and ERP/MRP system experience
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Interpersonal, facilitation, and decision-making skills
