Job summary

Cornerstone Co-op is seeking a Home Centre Clerk in St. Paul, AB.

This part-time role reports to the Hardware Manager and involves engaging with member-owners, managing inventory, operating the POS, and assisting customers across hardware, plumbing and electrical categories. The position requires Grade 12 or equivalent retail/customer service experience, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs with assistance, and a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Engage with member-owners and customers to provide outstanding Co-op experiences.
• Maintain department standards for inventory, ordering, stocking, merchandising and display.
• Operate point of sale system and perform daily cash reconciliations.
• Leverage knowledge in hardware, plumbing and electrical to assist customers.
• Answer customer inquiries about hardware items and related products.
• Lead exceptional customer experiences for members and guests.
• Gather carts from the parking lot and ensure cart availability.
• Follow proper maintenance and housekeeping procedures.
• Be available for days, evenings, weekends and holidays on a rotating schedule.
• Demonstrate behaviours aligning with the Co-operative's values and safety focus.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Cornerstone Co-op invites applications for the position ofHome Centre Clerkto join our Home Centre team on a part-time basis at our location in St. Paul, AB. Reporting to the Hardware Manager.

What you’ll do:

• Engage and interact with member-owners and customers to provide outstanding Co-op experiences.
• Ensure department standards are met with inventory, ordering, stocking, merchandising, and displaying products.
• Operate point of sale system and prepare daily cash reconciliations.
• Experience and knowledge in hardware, plumbing, electrical, and related areas.

• Be available to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays on a rotating schedule.
• Demonstrate day-to-day behaviours and actions that align with and strengthen the Co-operative's vision, mission, values, brand and focus on safety.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Who you are:

• You have Grade 12 education or equivalent retail and/or customer service experience.
• You are able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 lbs. Loads exceeding 50 lbs will be managed with lifting equipment or assistance in accordance with safety guidelines.
• You are able to stand and move throughout your shift, including walking, bending, and reaching wile staying active with tasks such as assisting customers, unloading freight and stocking shelves.
• You’re action oriented, customer focused and work well with other Team Members.
