Job summary

Cornerstone Co-op invites applications for the position of Yard Attendant to join our Home Centre team on a part-time basis at our location in St. Paul, AB. Reporting to the Yard Supervisor.

Engage and interact with member-owners and customers to provide outstanding Co-op experiences. You will help with inventory, stocking, merchandising, and displaying products while following all safety procedures. This position also requires flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays on a

Qualifications

• Grade 12 education or equivalent retail and/or customer service experience.
• Ability to regularly lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Class 5 driver's license; pass drug and alcohol test; clean 5-year driving abstract.

Responsibilities

• Engage and interact with member-owners and customers to provide outstanding Co-op experiences.
• Ensure department standards are met with inventory, ordering, stocking, merchandising, and displaying products.
• Work with customers and contractors to answer inquiries about lumber and yard products.
• Receiving of product in the yard and complete required paperwork.
• Ensure proper maintenance and housekeeping.
• Be familiar with and follow all safety procedures.
• Work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays on a rotational basis.
• Demonstrate day-to-day behaviours and actions that align with and strengthen the Co-operative's vision, mission, values, brand and focus on safety.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Who you are:

• You have Grade 12 education or equivalent retail and/or customer service experience.
• You have a Class 5 driver’s license, can pass a drug and alcohol test and provide a clean 5-year Standard driver’s abstract upon hire.
