Job summary

Walmart Canada in Brandon, MB is seeking a Deli Bakery Associate to deliver exemplary customer service while maintaining the Bakery and Deli area. You will stock, rotate, label, and assist with hot food orders, bakery items, and shelving; follow food safety and cold-chain procedures; and ensure accurate signage and pricing.

This entry‑level position starts at CAD 16.45 per hour with potential for growth as you gain experience in a fast-paced retail environment.

• Age – 16 or older

Responsibilities

• Zones the department to ensure product shelves, tables and bunkers are organization and product is in the correct location.
• Rotates stock and checks for expired products.
• Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced.
• Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates.
• Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise; preparing hot food merchandise and providing requested assistance.
• Prepares deli food orders utilizing utensils; preparing chicken by using rotisserie oven; and fill prepared side dishes for placement into display area.
• Prepares bakery merchandise by accurately following thawing and baking guidelines to ensure the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise, such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
• Follows proper procedures for; Ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.
