Walmart Canada in Nanaimo is seeking a Deli Bakery Associate to deliver exemplary customer service while maintaining and stocking the Deli/Bakery area. You will assist with product rotation, signing and pricing, and help with cold-chain standards.

This role includes preparing deli orders and bakery items according to thawing and baking guidelines, taking orders, and ensuring displays are neat and compliant with food safety dates.

Qualifications

• Age – 16 or older

Responsabilités

• Zones the department to ensure product shelves, tables and bunkers are organization and product is in the correct location
• Rotates stock and checks for expired products
• Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced
• Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates
• Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise; preparing hot food merchandise and providing requested assistance
• Prepares deli food orders utilizing utensils; preparing chicken by using rotisserie oven; and fill prepared side dishes for placement into display area
• Prepares bakery merchandise by accurately following thawing and baking guidelines to ensure the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise, such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls
• Follows proper procedures for; Ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels
