Job summary

Walmart in Oakville, ON is seeking a Deli Bakery Associate to deliver outstanding customer service while managing the Bakery and Deli areas. You will assist with stocking, pricing, and preparing deli and bakery items to meet guest needs.

Responsibilities include zoning the department, rotating stock, ensuring proper signage, following food-safety guidelines, and handling orders for deli and bakery products. This role helps maintain quality display and accurate labeling.

• Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise; preparing hot food merchandise and providing requested assistance
• Prepares deli food orders utilizing utensils; preparing chicken by using rotisserie oven; and fill prepared side dishes for placement into display area
• Prepares bakery merchandise by accurately following thawing and baking guidelines to ensure the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise, such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls
• Follows proper procedures for; Ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels

Position Summary

A Deli Bakery Associate provides exemplary customer service by adhering to the basic beliefs and values of Walmart, maintains and zones the Bakery and/or Deli area, and assists with stocking and the sale of goods.

What you’ll do

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $18.05.
