Job summary

Walmart Canada in Hawkesbury, ON is seeking a Deli Bakery Associate to provide exemplary customer service while maintaining and organizing the Deli/Bakery area and assisting with stocking and sale of goods.

The role involves zone maintenance, stock rotation, proper signing and pricing, adherence to cold-chain standards, and preparation of deli and bakery items according to guidelines. Minimum age is 16 or older. Position pays from 18.05 CAD per hour.

Responsibilities

• Zones the department to ensure product shelves, tables and bunkers are organized and product is in the correct location.
• Rotates stock and checks for expired products.
• Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced.
• Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates.
• Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise; preparing hot food merchandise and providing requested assistance.
• Prepares deli food orders utilizing utensils; preparing chicken by using rotisserie oven; and fill prepared side dishes for placement into display area.
• Prepares bakery merchandise by accurately following thawing and baking guidelines to ensure the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise, such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
• Follows proper procedures for; Ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.
