Job summary

Walmart Canada is seeking a Deli Bakery Associate to provide exemplary customer service while maintaining and stocking the Bakery and/or Deli area. You will assist with stocking, price signs, and fulfilling orders in a fast-paced retail environment at 3600 Major Mackenzie Dr W, Vaughan, ON.

The role emphasizes adherence to cold chain standards, proper food handling, and accurate labeling, with minimum wage starting at $18.05 per hour. Must be 16 or older to apply.

Responsibilities

• Zones the department to ensure product shelves, tables and bunkers are organization and product is in the correct location
• Rotates stock and checks for expired products
• Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced
• Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates
• Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise; preparing hot food merchandise and providing requested assistance
• Prepares deli food orders utilizing utensils; preparing chicken by using rotisserie oven; and fill prepared side dishes for placement into display area
• Prepares bakery merchandise by accurately following thawing and baking guidelines to ensure the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise, such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls
• Follows proper procedures for; Ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels
