Job summary

Walmart Canada is hiring a Deli Bakery Associate in Cornwall, ON to deliver exceptional customer service and maintain the Bakery and Deli areas. You will zone shelves, rotate stock, and ensure accurate signage and pricing while following food safety standards.

The role also involves preparing hot and deli items, handling rotisserie chicken, and assembling bakery products according to thawing and baking guidelines to preserve quality and presentation.

Responsibilities

• Zones the department to ensure product shelves, tables and bunkers are organized and product is in the correct location.
• Rotates stock and checks for expired products.
• Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced.
• Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates.
• Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise; preparing hot food merchandise and providing requested assistance.
• Prepares deli food orders utilizing utensils; preparing chicken by using rotisserie oven; and fill prepared side dishes for placement into display area.
• Prepares bakery merchandise by accurately following thawing and baking guidelines to ensure the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise, such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
• Follows proper procedures for; Ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.
