Job summary

Walmart Canada in Atholville, NB is hiring a Deli Bakery Associate to deliver friendly customer service while maintaining and stocking the Bakery and/or Deli area.

You will zone departments, rotate stock, ensure signage and pricing, and follow food safety standards, cold chain procedures, and temperature logs. The role starts at a minimum pay rate of $16.35 per hour and offers opportunities to prepare hot foods and bakery items in a busy store environment.

Responsibilities

• Zones the department to keep shelves organized and located correctly.
• Rotates stock and checks for expired products.
• Ensures merchandise is signed and priced.
• Follows cold chain standards, thermometer calibrations, temperature logging, and food handling.
• Takes orders for Deli merchandise; prepares hot food and assists customers.
• Prepares deli food orders using utensils; uses rotisserie for chicken; fills side dishes for display.
• Prepares bakery merchandise by following thawing and baking guidelines for display.
• Follows procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, and pricing/labels.
