Job summary

Pomerleau is seeking a Deep Foundations Welder to join its Civil & Infrastructure team. You will contribute to execution on large-scale projects, collaborating with drillers, operators and forepersons to ensure efficient work across sites.

Responsibilities include welding, reading plans, assembling, cutting and inspecting welds while maintaining safety and quality on diverse foundations projects.

Qualifications

• Hold CCQ competency card and CWB certification.
• Experience welding on deep foundations or heavy civil construction.
• Must hold ASP Health & Safety card and work safely on site.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding on deep foundation components (piles, cages, structures).
• Read and interpret plans, shop drawings and specs.
• Assemble, modify, repair and install metal components per requirements.
• Cut, grind, fit and prepare materials before welding.
• Inspect welds and correct as needed to ensure quality.
• Coordinate with drillers, crane operators, forepersons for efficient work.
• Maintain and inspect welding tools and equipment.
• Follow health, safety procedures and site regulations.
• Support project operations with related duties as required.
