Job summary

Pomerleau is seeking a Project Manager in our Civil & Infrastructure division in Montreal to lead large-scale construction and infrastructure projects. You will work closely with client groups and subcontractors, ensuring on-time milestones and rigorous budget control.

The role emphasizes mentorship, risk management, and a strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental protection, with a hybrid work model for corporate roles.

Qualifications

• 8 years of project management experience in construction.
• Experience leading large civil/infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Grow and maintain relationships with team members, trade partners, consultants and clients.
• Support PM teams to develop and drive construction schedules to meet milestones.
• Apply financial management to plan, manage and respect budgets and purchasing.
• Provide mentorship to project team members.
• Lead risk management to minimize project risk.
• Compile and complete project reports.
• Demonstrate leadership in health, safety and environmental protection on the project.

As a Project Manager within Pomerleau’s Civil & Infrastructure division, you will play a key role at the heart of the Deep Foundations business unit. By leading large-scale construction and infrastructure projects—ranging from $1.5 million to over $1 billion—you will work closely with our client groups and subcontractors and act as an integral part of our project team.

What you will do

• Grow and maintain strong relationships with team members, trade partners, consultants and clients to achieve the project goals and vision.
• Support your project management teams to develop and drive the construction schedule ensuring that completion dates and milestones are met.
• Apply your financial management experience to plan, manage and respect project budgets, costs and associated purchasing.
• Share your knowledge and be a role model through mentorship opportunities with project team members.
• Be an expert in risk management to ensure any associated project risk is minimized.
• Take pride in compiling and completing companywide project reports.
• Demonstrate leadership in Health, Safety and Environmental Protection on the project.

This role could be for you if you have

• 8 years’ experience in Project Managementin the construction industry.
• University Degree/Technology Diploma in Engineering, or a combination of education and industry experience.
• Exceptional leadership, organizational prowess, influential abilities, adept problem-solving, ensuring project success amidst diverse challenges.
• Strong knowledge of construction and project methodologies, financial management, as well as building codes and associated legislation.
• Be a champion and role model for quality and all health and safety best practices.
• Experienced working with scheduling software, knowledge and experience working with P6 considered a strong asset.
