Job summary

BDO Canada in Halifax is seeking a Co-op or Intern Student to join the Personal Debt Solutions team from January to April 2027. You will work on calculating and reviewing income, analyzing client data and creditor claims, and supporting CPC team members in insolvency tasks.

The role emphasizes building client relationships, timely communication, and active participation in a collaborative, growth-focused environment at our Halifax office.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree or diploma focused in accounting.
• Desire to provide outstanding client service and strong teamwork.
• Proven leadership with initiative and strong problem solving/communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Calculate and review income using technical knowledge from coursework.
• Analyze client data, review financial information and creditor claims to prepare reports.
• Support insolvency-related tasks and CPC team members.
• Build positive client relationships and respond to requests and suggestions.
• Communicate progress and issues with team members regularly.
