Job summary

BDO Canada is seeking Co-op or Intern Students to join our Financial Reporting & Insights team in Manitoba from September to December 2027. This role offers experience with reviews, compilations, and corporate tax (not auditing).

You will own responsibilities including preparing financial statements for Notice to Reader and Review engagements and building client relationships. The successful candidate is currently pursuing an accounting degree or diploma, values teamwork and client service, and

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in accounting is in progress.
• Interest in long-term growth within Financial Reporting & Insights.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks, Xero, Sage is a plus.
• Value teamwork, client service and attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements for Notice to Reader and Review engagements.
• Prepare working files for income tax and information returns for a variety of clients.
• Build positive relationships with clients and respond to requests and suggestions.
• Complete ongoing accounting analysis and assignments per procedures.
• Communicate progress and issues with team regularly.
