Job summary

Sensity is seeking a Casual Intervenor to support people who are deafblind in Etobicoke, ON. The role focuses on facilitating communication and daily living to help clients live independently.

Training is provided through an in-house program, with a chance to grow skills in a compassionate, community-focused setting. Qualifications

• Completion of a college diploma or certificate in the Intervenor for Deafblind Persons program, or related field such as DSW/SSW/CSW/CDA/PSW.
• Experience supporting persons with developmental disabilities and challenging behaviours.
• ASL or Signed Exact English (SEE) communication required; valid driver's license class G and ability to obtain auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Support communication and daily living for individuals with dual sensory impairment.
• Use communication techniques to relay information and empower independence.
• Assist with home and community activities, personal care, and goal development.
• Ensure documentation and records are complete and up to date.
