Job summary

RSM Canada is seeking a Dayforce Implementation Consultant in Toronto, Ontario, responsible for client implementation of Dayforce HCM solutions. The Business Applications practice at RSM assists clients to strategize and implement the right solutions at the right time to help fulfill their missions. Our Dayforce team provides consulting services to implement, optimize, and support the full suite of Dayforce HCM solutions. We are a rapidly growing team seeking a qualified Dayforce Implementation Consultant.

The selected individual will support client implementations as a Dayforce Lead/Implementation Consultant, responsible for discovery, requirements documentation, solution design, configuration, testing support, training, and go-live of the client’s Dayforce solution. An effective candidate is a self-starter who partners closely with project leadership and client stakeholders to deliver the desired future-state processes and system outcomes.

As a Dayforce Implementation Consultant, you will lead and support the implementation, optimization, and sustainment of Dayforce HCM solutions. You’ll serve as a trusted advisor to clients, guiding them through end-to-end implementations and enhancements to improve HR, payroll, workforce management, and talent processes.

Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end Dayforce implementations (discovery, design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post–go-live support).
  • Facilitate discovery sessions, workshops, and design meetings to document business requirements and map them to Dayforce functionality.
  • Configure Dayforce modules such as Core HR, Payroll, Benefits, Time & Attendance, Scheduling/WFM, Recruiting, Onboarding, Performance, Compensation, Learning, and Reporting & Analytics.
  • Experience with reporting/analytics and data tools (e.g., SQL) preferred; integration experience (e.g., file-based interfaces, APIs/web services, XML) is a plus.
  • Support testing (unit, end-to-end, and UAT), cutover/go-live readiness, and post-go-live stabilization including issue triage and optimization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including project managers, integration/data migration resources, and client stakeholders; communicate status, risks, and decisions.
  • Mentor junior consultants, contribute to internal delivery methodology and knowledge base, and advise clients on Dayforce best practices and organizational readiness.
Required Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in Human Resources, Payroll, Benefits administration or related acumen
  • Understanding of the HR function and best practices related to processes, technology utilization, and policy creation
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Eagerness to learn and ability to stay current with HR trends and key workplace issues
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, Smartsheet
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3+ years of experience implementing Dayforce and/or other enterprise HCM platforms (SaaS).
  • Strong understanding of HR systems, workforce management, and payroll processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and client-facing skills.
  • Strong functional HRIS/HCM knowledge with hands‑on configuration experience
  • Ability to effectively analyze client needs and recommend solutions
  • A disciplined approach to project delivery including defining and tracking milestones, deadlines, testing requirements and results, and deliverables
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with client contacts; easily develops rapport and earns trust
  • Ability to manage multiple projects (for different clients) simultaneously and prioritize effectively while ensuring high quality of work and timely delivery.
  • Must be able to thrive in a deadline‑oriented environment
  • Demonstrates initiative; self‑starter able to independently manage assigned portfolio of projects
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with key stakeholders in client organizations
  • Experience in healthcare, manufacturing, and retail sectors
  • Dayforce certifications (Core, Payroll, WFM, Benefits, Talent) preferred.
