Job summary

CAE Inc. is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a high‑precision manufacturing team in Montreal. You will oversee daily production activities, ensure safety and quality, and drive on‑time delivery in a collaborative setting.

The role requires hands-on leadership on the shop floor, problem solving, and a track record of continuous improvement in a technology‑driven environment. Fluency in English and French is essential for cross‑border communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and industrial experience in manufacturing.
• Minimum 5 years of leadership in a manufacturing/production environment.
• Experience with production scheduling, workforce planning and operational metrics.
• Experience driving continuous improvement in manufacturing settings.
• Experience working in a unionized environment.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and safety practices.
• Proficient in English and French communication.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach and develop a production team on the shop floor.
• Manage daily production activities to meet safety, quality, productivity and delivery goals.
• Foster a positive, collaborative and accountable team culture.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality and manufacturing standards.
• Monitor production schedules and address issues affecting milestones and timelines.
• Coordinate workforce allocation, materials and resources to support production needs.
• Analyze performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality and productivity.
• Lead continuous improvement and change management initiatives.
• Establish and maintain production procedures and standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet customer commitments.
• Manage employees according to company policies and collective agreements.
