Job summary

Excelitas Technologies is seeking a Production Manager in Vaudreuil-Dorion, Quebec. The role focuses on delivering production execution with safety, quality and on-time delivery as core priorities, while leading continuous improvement initiatives across all shifts.

The ideal candidate has a engineering/operations background, 5+ years in manufacturing with supervision experience, and strong Lean/5S and SAP proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management or related field, or equivalent, with at least five (5) years of manufacturing production experience, including team supervision.
• Semiconductor experience and continuous-improvement training are strong assets.
• Strong shop-floor leadership and team development skills.
• Familiarity with Lean/5S and problem-solving methodologies.
• Comfort with production KPIs and ERP systems (SAP).
• Bilingual French/English to communicate with Excelitas sites outside Quebec.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level daily oversight of production operations and ensure a safe, engaging work environment.
• Be accountable for the daily operational cadence with production dashboards and KPIs across all shifts.
• Embed continuous improvement day to day and deliver its results (Lean, 5S, problem solving).
• Meet or exceed safety, quality, on-time delivery and productivity targets.
• Lead with Planning to execute the production schedule and address capacity gaps.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high-level daily oversight of production operations, functionally partnering with the supervisors, and ensure a safe and engaging work environment.
• Be accountable for the daily operational cadence: production dashboards and KPIs across all shifts.
• Embed continuous improvement day to day (Lean, 5S, problem solving) and deliver its results.
• Meet or exceed safety, quality, on-time delivery and productivity targets.
• Act as a lead partner with Planning in executing the production schedule: elevate capacity gaps and ensure corrective action plans are implemented and tracked.

Qualifications

Education and experience: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management or a related field, or equivalent, with at least five (5) years of manufacturing production experience, including team supervision. Semiconductor experience and continuous-improvement training are strong assets.
