Job summary

Aramark in Dorval, QC is seeking a Cook for a day shift (6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday to Friday). The role is in a unionized environment with a comprehensive benefits package and a start date as soon as possible.

You will assist the Chef, prepare meals per recipes, and ensure hot station production while maintaining safety standards. The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in food service, can work well in a team, thrives in a fast-paced setting, and shows initiative and customer-service focus.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in food service or restaurant industry.
• Able to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chef in the preparation of daily meals and catering orders.
• Prepare and cook food according to standardized recipes and established procedures.
• Ensure production of meals for the hot food station.
• Set up the workstation and prepare all required ingredients.
• Monitor product quality and ensure smooth production operations.
• Assist with cost control, inventory management, and inventory counts.
• Apply and enforce food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
• Participate in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen.
• Support operations and respond to team needs based on operational priorities.
• Catering experience is considered an asset.
