Job summary

UNC Health in Chapel Hill, NC is seeking a full-time Clinical Nurse Specialist to join the 40-bed Cardiovascular & Thoracic Critical Care Unit at UNC Medical Center. The CNS will provide clinical leadership, educate staff, and lead evidence-based practice across a complex cardiovascular and thoracic patient population.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) from a Board Approved nursing education program.
• Licensed as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in North Carolina. Current CNS certification.
• Three years of CNS experience in a cardiovascular/critical care setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert clinical care to complex cardiovascular/thoracic patients.
• Coach bedside nurses and staff to improve performance of complex interventions.
• Collaborate with interprofessional teams to ensure coordinated care delivery.
