Job summary

Everclean Facility Services is seeking a Day Porter in Burnaby, BC to keep an office building clean, organized, and welcoming throughout the day. The role focuses on hands-on facility support, daily cleaning, and responding to routine needs.

Schedule is Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM (6 hours per day with a 30-minute unpaid break). Pay rate is $18.75 per hour, with on-site responsibilities and adherence to safety procedures.

• You do not need previous cleaning experience; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and overall appearance of the office building throughout the day.
• Perform general day-to-day cleaning of washrooms, common areas, lobbies, hallways, offices, kitchens, and other facility areas.
• Monitor washrooms and common areas and replenish supplies as needed.
• Keep entrances, walkways, and surrounding areas clean and presentable.
• Respond to spills, litter, and other cleanliness concerns as they arise.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and clients.
• Monitor the facility for maintenance concerns, damage, safety hazards, or other issues and report them to the appropriate supervisor
• Complete required daily logs, checklists, and facility records.
• Ensure cleaning equipment and supplies are stored safely and kept organized.
• Follow all company, building, health, safety, and emergency procedures.
• Respond to reasonable requests from building staff and supervisors.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

About This Job

Everclean is looking for a Day Porter to join our team in Burnaby, BC. This is a hands‑on facility support role focused on keeping an office building clean, safe, organized, and welcoming throughout the day. The Day Porter will perform general cleaning and maintenance duties, respond to day-to-day facility needs, and help ensure the building is well maintained.

• Stand and walk for most of your shift.
• Follow instructions given verbally or in writing in English.
• Come to work consistently and on time.
• Work independently and manage day-to-day tasks with minimal supervision.
• Communicate professionally with building staff, visitors, and supervisors.
• Understand and follow company policies and procedures.
• Perform general cleaning and facility maintenance duties as required.
