Job summary

Dexterra Group in Maple Ridge seeks an evening Cleaner/Porter to maintain a sanitary environment at Valley Fair Mall. You will clean common areas, washrooms, handle trash, and operate cleaning equipment. Hours are 10:00–14:00 or 15:00–23:00, with 2+ days per week and potential extra coverage.

Previous cleaning experience and ability to lift up to 25 lbs are required. A clear criminal background check is required for this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in cleaning.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act and WHMIS.

Responsibilities

• Clean common areas and washrooms.
• Collect and transport garbage.
• Sweep and mop floors; vacuum carpets.
• Dust high surfaces in common areas.
• Clean windows; operate auto scrubber and carpet extractor.
• Snow removal and ice melt application as needed.

As an eveningCleaner/Porter, reportingto the Account Manager, you will ensure a sanitary environment, securing and maintaining tools/equipment used to perform the day to day work and performing other duties as assigned or requested.This position is at the Valley Fair Mall in Maple Ridge.The working hours are either 10:00 to 2:00pm or 3:00 PM until 11:00 PM. Currently looking for 2+ days each week plus additional days of coverage.

Your work will include:

• Common area cleaning and washrooms
• Collecting and transporting garbage
• Sweeping and mopping the floor and vacuuming the carpets
• High dusting the common area
• Cleaning windows
• Operating the auto scrubber
• Operating the carpet extractor
• Snow removal and ice melt application
