Job summary

Alliance Maintenance is seeking a reliable building cleaner to maintain indoor and outdoor spaces across Metro Vancouver. You will clean high-traffic areas, disinfect, empty trash, sanitize restrooms, and keep entrances clear. This position is intended to cover sick calls, days off, and vacations from other employees.

Shift involves Saturdays and Sundays 8:00 AM–4:00 PM with travel between Burnaby, Surrey, and Coquitlam as needed. On-site training and benefits are provided to full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate clearly in English.
• Reliable and punctual, with a customer-focused attitude.
• Physical ability to lift 20 lbs and climb a 5 ft ladder.
• Experience using cleaning equipment and chemicals.
• Willing to handle light biohazard waste.
• Ability to use a smartphone.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Clean lobby areas, stairways, hallways, and windows.
• Vacuum carpeted areas.
• Mop tiled floors and entrances.
• Clean washrooms, gym area, and amenity rooms.
• Responsible for exterior walk-through and litter pickup.

Job Details

The building cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean and presentable building, both inside and outside. You will be responsible for cleaning and disinfecting high-traffic areas, emptying trash, sanitizing restrooms, and keeping entrances clear. This position is meant to cover sick calls, days off, and vacations from other employees.

Shift Available:

• Saturday & Sunday from 8:00AM to 4:00PM
• No fixed location: You'll be moving around the Burnaby, Surrey and Coquitlam areas to cover/support our buildings as needed.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Cleaning lobby area, stairways, hallways, and windows.
• Vacuuming carpeted areas.
• Mopping tiled floor areas and entrances.
• Cleaning washrooms, gym area, and amenity rooms.
• Responsible for exterior walk-through and required litter pick-up.
