Qulliq Energy Corporation (QEC) is entrusted to provide safe, reliable power to all customers in Nunavut. Owned by the Government of Nunavut and operated as an arms-length territorial corporation, QEC is the sole provider of electricity and district heating in Nunavut. In comparison to other utilities in Canada, QEC faces unique challenges as it operates 25 stand‑alone diesel power generation facilities and distribution systems located in each of the territory's communities.
Reporting to the Director of IT and working closely with Qulliq Energy's Finance team, we are seeking a Data Systems Analyst to join our IT team. The Data Systems Analyst is responsible for transforming raw data into meaningful, actionable insights that support strategic decision-making and operational excellence. This role combines strong analytical expertise with technical proficiency to design, optimize, and automate data processes, replacing manual workflows with efficient, scalable solutions. The ideal candidate leverages data visualization, business intelligence, and Microsoft technologies to improve reporting accuracy, enhance productivity, and deliver innovative systems that drive continuous business improvement.
A combination of education and equivalent experience may be considered.
We offer a competitive starting salary range of $114,153.00 to $133, 360.50 and a northern living allowance of $24,767 per annum. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including a defined-benefit pension program. In addition, subsidized staff housing is available for this position. This position is included in the Nunavut Employee's Union.
