Qulliq Energy Corporation (QEC) is entrusted to provide safe, reliable power to all customers in Nunavut. Owned by the Government of Nunavut and operated as an arms-length territorial corporation, QEC is the sole provider of electricity and district heating in Nunavut. In comparison to other utilities in Canada, QEC faces unique challenges as it operates 25 stand-alone diesel power generation facilities and distribution systems located in each of the territory's communities.
The Communications and Social Media Coordinator strengthens Qulliq Energy Corporation's (QEC) digital presence by developing, designing, and delivering social media initiatives across multiple platforms. The role enhances public engagement, supports community connections across Nunavut, and ensures consistent, culturally relevant communication. Reporting to the Manager of Corporate Communications and working as an integral member of the Corporate Affairs team, the Coordinator creates original content, including photos, short videos, and visual assets, and produces high-quality materials for print, digital, and promotional use that align with QEC's brand and communication objectives.
We offer a competitive starting salary range of $99,840.00 to $114,913.50 and a northern living allowance of $16,328.00 per annum. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package including a defined benefit pension program. In addition, subsidized housing is available for this position. This position is included in the Nunavut Employee's Union.
