Role: Data Specialist

The Data Specialist is responsible for applying the overall test strategy and test plan for Data Conversion. They oversee testing activities, review processes, and make recommendations to improve Quality Assurance processes, ensuring effective User Acceptance Testing (UAT) preparation.

Responsibilities:

• Defines and writes automated probe requests to ensure data conversion quality.
• Assists the data conversion manager with questions related to conversion best practices and validation report analysis.
• Maintains up-to-date documentation of database fields (business and technical descriptions).
• Reviews and recommends improvements to data QA processes to minimize defects and ensure compliance with best practices.
• Collaborates with data conversion functional owners to resolve data quality issues and suggest process improvements.
• Incorporates lessons learned from each project iteration to improve work methods.

Requirements:

• Education in business administration or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in SQL data management.
• Fluency in French and English, both spoken and written.
• Strong analytical and synthesis skills.
• Curiosity and resourcefulness for research.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Ability to guide and positively influence project members and stakeholders.
• Mentoring skills regarding conversion best practices.
• Clear communication skills, able to simplify technical language.

• Knowledge of pension plans, administration, or actuarial science.
