You'll be responsible for:

  • Developing metrics and KPIs to monitor data governance compliance and reporting on the health and maturity of the data governance program.
  • Collaborating with subject matter experts and data stewards to define and implement data governance policies, standards, ensuring enterprise data is accurate, complete, secure, and reliable.
  • Supporting metadata management activities for data and models (AI/ML), ensuring critical data and models are identified, classified, and recorded in the Enterprise Metadata Management Tool (Alation).
  • Maintaining data lineage, data dictionary, and data catalog for the Analytics Environment.
  • Improving data quality management through stakeholder collaboration and expediting resolution of data quality issues using appropriate strategies.
  • Supporting data retention activities and ensuring legal and reputational risks are mitigated through controls.
  • Supporting data management and model risk management activities, ensuring frameworks and roadmaps are implemented and executed.
  • Managing change and communication effectively, including data governance principles and processes to the data community.

You bring:

  • A degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Information Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Data Management, Data Governance, Risk, or Compliance.
  • Experience with data management tools like Alation, Informatica, Collibra.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to adapt to change and respond to evolving business needs.
  • Quick learner with curiosity and motivation for continuous learning.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating technical issues to non-technical audiences.
  • Proactive, result-oriented, and able to initiate change and take ownership.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • An understanding of factors influencing business and the ability to integrate various needs to ensure success.
  • Creative problem-solving skills, willingness to challenge the status quo, and support innovation.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams, influence others, and manage conflicts.
  • Eligibility to work for Interac in Canada in a full-time capacity.
