Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Data Center Technician to perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs within a Data Center operation. The role supports critical and technical services with a focus on maintaining environmental conditions and safe work practices.

Responsibilities include routine inspections, responding to BMS alarms, coordinating with third-party vendors, and performing planned PM and reactive maintenance to maintain critical infrastructure reliability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associates Degree preferred in a related field.
• Accredited training in copper and fiber structured cabling installation preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily site inspections of all Mechanical & Engineering systems and equipment.
• React to Building Management System alarms and complete emergency repairs.
• Perform planned preventative and reactive maintenance on equipment.
• Check BMS for HVAC conditions and respond to related client issues.
• Take meter readings from UPS, PDU, and utilities; conduct routine quality checks.
